HONG KONG (Economic Information Daily, October 7) - According to sources, Apple will further expand into the smart home device market, including collaborating with LG Electronics to develop a series of accessories such as doorbells, door locks, and thermostats.
The sources said these products will become part of Apple's new smart home ecosystem. Apple plans to unveil new smart home devices on October 13, including the first update of the HomePod mini since its launch in 2020, as well as a new version of its television set-top box.
Products jointly developed by Apple and LG will also include smart door locks, indoor security cameras, outdoor security cameras, and floodlight cameras. Although these accessories are co-developed by the two companies, they will carry the LG brand and be manufactured and supported by LG. (rc)
