According to a financial document provided to investors, OpenAI's annualized revenue as of the end of September was just under US$5 billion, nearly 30% lower than the previously rumored estimate of US$7 billion, prompting the market to reassess the revenue growth and profitability of AI companies. Overnight, the risk premium for AI stocks in the U.S. market plunged sharply, with the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index falling more than 3%. The market believes this helps reduce the risk of a bubble burst. Additionally, robust demand at the U.S. 30-year Treasury bond auction drove long-term yields lower, with the yield on the U.S. 10-year Treasury note dropping from an intraday high of 5.35% to around 5.22%, a decline of about 13 basis points.
Currently, the Hang Seng Index stands at 24,049, up 264 points or 1.11%, with turnover on the main board reaching HK$38.686 billion. The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index is at 8,092, up 82 points or 1.03%. The Hang Seng Tech Index is at 4,154, up 80 points or 1.98%.
