'Few Americans in history have contributed more to advancing U.S. national interests than Musk. Time and again, his genius and determination have turned science fiction into reality.'
Speaking about Musk's achievements in founding SpaceX, Trump said, 'SpaceX has freed NASA from relying on foreign countries to send our astronauts into space.' He also congratulated the Crew-12 mission crew on their safe return from the International Space Station, saying, 'We are proud of you, very proud of you, national treasure.'
Additionally, Trump said: 'Through Neuralink, Elon has restored vision, speech, and mobility to people who could not see, speak, or move. He has also made SpaceX AI one of the world's leading players in the field of superintelligence. Elon is our generation's Edison.'
