[ET Net News Agency, 4 February 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$89.03 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$14.71 billion, or 16.52% of the
market's turnover. There were 627 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF
(02828) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.96 billion and HK$1.84
billion, or 20.16% and 12.53% of the total short sales value respectively. The
transactions represented 43.65% and 56.29% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and XI2CSOPHSTECH (07552) registered HK$1.13 billion and HK$943.58
million of short sales, accounting for 7.71% and 6.42% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 17.69% and 67.83% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.42, or 2.05%, to HK$20.86. HSCEI ETF ended up HK$1.9, or
2.51%, to HK$77.58. BABA-W rose HK$2.3, or 2.45% to HK$96.3. XI2CSOPHSTECH declined by
HK$0.222, or 7.97%, to HK$2.562.
