[ET Net News Agency, 11 February 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$219.61 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$27.81 billion, or 12.66% of the
market's turnover. There were 677 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and BABA-W
(09988) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.74 billion and HK$2.2
billion, or 9.84% and 7.91% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 18.64% and 15.59% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$1.43 billion and HK$1.13 billion of
short sales, accounting for 5.14% and 4.05% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 15.48% and 12.46% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.2, or 0.92%, to HK$21.52. BABA-W ended down HK$0.6, or
0.57%, to HK$104.9. MEITUAN-W fell HK$0.9, or 0.55% to HK$161.8. XIAOMI-W declined by
HK$1.2, or 2.74%, to HK$42.55.
