[ET Net News Agency, 31 March 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$143.79
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$20.07 billion, or 13.96% of the market's
turnover. There were 710 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.13 billion and HK$1.17
billion, or 10.63% and 5.82% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 84.03% and 12.98% of respective stock's turnover.
XIAOMI-W (01810) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$1.06 billion and HK$833.74 million of
short sales, accounting for 5.26% and 4.15% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 11.49% and 10.62% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed down HK$0.175, or 3.24%, to HK$5.225. TRACKER FUND ended down
HK$0.42, or 1.77%, to HK$23.3. XIAOMI-W fell HK$2.45, or 4.8% to HK$48.6. TENCENT declined
by HK$14.3, or 2.81%, to HK$495.2.
